I've Got to Do Things Differently!

I've Got to Do Things Differently!

Philippians 4:4-6, NIV

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

I'm Coming for My Peace!

Sermonic Moves:

  1. Practice rejoicing - rejoicing must be rehearsed and enacted repeatedly
  2. Implement gentleness because the Lord is near.  The Lord is both among us and soon to come!
    A. Inward gentleness
    B. Outward gentleness
  3. Manage anxiety through articulating what I need; I am not afraid to admit I need GOD! Instead of putting all the pressure on me, I am going to place all of my cares on the Lord.  And because I need GOD, Paul encourages me to engage in:
  1. Prayer
  2. Petition
  3. Thanksgiving
