1 Samuel 22:5, ESV

Then the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not remain in the stronghold; depart, and go into the land of Judah.” So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth.

1 Samuel 22:5, NLT

One day the prophet Gad told David, “Leave the stronghold and return to the land of Judah.” So David went to the forest of Hereth.

We act with certainty during uncertain times:

David's word to go to the forest of Hereth in Judah allows for David to be:

2. Redirected
3. Revived

David is not done traveling the journey toward kingship, but the temporary hold of the cave is over.  Let us always remember no matter the gloom of the cave, it is never permanent, only preparation.
